Bayer Sheet Europe has expanded its Makrolon® Hygard range with another innovative product: Makrolon® Hygard MS 1250

MS stands for Multiple Shot, i.e. the material will withstand multiple shots from a machine gun / pistol and offers maximum penetration protection. This is guaranteed by the multi-layer, laminated, transparent Makrolon® / PMMA composite system with a UV and scratch resistant coating on the front and rear.

Tests have confirmed ballistic protection to UL 752 Level 6 and EN 1063 Level B4; this means the glazing is highly penetration proof and also offers heightened protection against housebreaking and burglary.

It is ideal for areas where safety is of prime importance such as:

• banks
• jewellery shops and
• museums.

We have increased the light transmittance to 75% which means the sheets are ideal for large-scale glazing in buildings.
